There are three types of shared properties common in the UK Shared
Student House
There are plenty of private shared student house available in almost every city. You will have your own room with shared bathroom, toilet, kitchen and dining area. Students will take turns to do some house work such as cleaning common and shared areas and taking the bin out for collecting. Most student houses are located near the university or within easy reach of the university. You will be required to sign a contract of at least 6 months but some will be 10 or 12 months
Share with your friends
You will share a house or a flat rented by you and your friends. This is quite popular among Thai and overseas students as you are able to choose better accommodation than a shared student house. It is a cheaper option if you want to stay in a higher quality accommodation without paying too much money.
Shared with landlord
You will rent a spare room of the owner of the property. You will have your own room with en suite or shared bathroom, toilet, kitchen and dining area.
Shared with other professional
You will share a house or a flat rented by other tenants. You will have your own room with shared bathroom, toilet, kitchen and dining area. There are plenty of advertising on the internet or in local shops for flat mate or professional house share.
